A Conversation Which Changed Me

I've never experienced a conversation which dramatically changed me much at all. I'm not trying to be that guy but it definitely feels as if every important or memorable dialogue I've shared with another person usually involved me dispensing some sort of wisdom to them and not the other way around. That said, I do remember this one time a couple years back when a friend of my mother's named Shawn drove me to Jamaica, Queens to get a haircut; and on the ride back to Long Island, maybe, he said something to the effect of "You can't lead someone else to food if you yourself are starving". To this day, that is still easily one of the most impactful IG captions I have ever heard someone speak aloud to me. Definitely altered my brain chemistry a tad.

I haven't got a clue what we did on Monday because I wasn't there. I had it on good authority that we were supposed to come back on the 3rd, which definitely sounded odd to me at the time but I didn't question it because I'll happily embrace any excuse to extend my weekend away from this institution. Not to mention I had a job interview at Publix at 11 which I absolutely could not miss. I showed up late, unfortunately, but my interviewer liked me enough to give me a chance with a follow-up interview this weekend. I'm locked in. Heaven's will be done.

A Place I Never Wanted to Leave

 I remember one time I slept on top of my girlfriend's chest. That was bliss, I was so happy. I didn't want to go anywhere. I don't think I've ever felt so comfortable before or since. For the first time in a long while, I was content. I felt completely at ease. I'm too heavy for her, though, so we can't make that a regular fix. What a drag.  We also learned about two Indian cultural traditions in class today. They were both rather minute and disinteresting from my perspective, but I think learning about foreign cultures at all is a net positive, especially for an American like me.
