Kahoot

Image
We played a Kahoot today on "current events". That's in quotation marks because some of the material covered is markedly old in nature, but who really cares? Just a nitpick. I entered the top 5 somehow, by the skin of my teeth. No OT tonight. I would've won if I had locked in sooner. Close doesn't count. I'm out for blood next time.

The Break

I think I'm too lazy for my own good. I didn't do much of anything over the break, and I didn't really want to, either. I'm so tired it's unreal. Most of my daylight hours were spent in bed, and I was up at night gorging myself on poisonous food, stooped over in the flickering glow of my TV like some weird subhuman troglodyte. I'm just wasting away. I got to see my girlfriend, though. I love my girlfriend. I also went to the hospital with my mom to keep her company during her hysterectomy. We're not on speaking terms right now.

Another Reading

I really don't like Troy Maxson. The dude's, like, super unlikable. Which is by design, obviously-and I'd be lying if I said that his character wasn't wholly genuine and felt real above all else. I think he kind of just triggers my fight or flight response because he kind of exemplifies some of the worst traits in my male role models. Zealous pride, combativeness, infidelity, envy. Just a genuinely unpleasant person to be around for extended periods of time.

Picture Day

Image
As the title suggested, today was picture day. I looked pretty musty today but that's fine. This isn't my senior picture and it won't be in the yearbook, thank God. I've got no one to impress but it's just a vibes thing. I didn't want to stand in line for however long just for my yearbook picture to be disappointingly ugly. How wack would that be? Also, me and Mr. B aren't cool no more. He needs to see me outside. He knows what he did.

Senior Year Essay

Senior year has so far been pretty mid. That's about as well as I can articulate the experience without veering into ambiguous territory. My expectations were pretty amorphous and I had no affectations of being a model student or making any new friends. I just wanted, and continue to want, not much else outside of graduating and dipping to some place far away and not adulterated by the same simps who I'm currently forced to share a suburb with. I so far have developed nothing but outright animosity towards the school board largely concerning this cellphone fiasco, and I consider any aggrandizing of them or their actions to be bootlicking. Besides all that, though, everything's copacetic.
